How have Americans used their rights to express themselves?  Tune in at 12:30 p.m. for this 30-minute program on the third Wednesday of each month.  You’ll have a chance to engage with topics ranging from activism and protest to the right to healthcare\, and discover how the roots of our current conversations were planted 250 years ago.  If you have questions for our speakers\, please send them to historic@gunstonhall.org in advance of the program with the name of the speaker in the subject line of your email. \nApril History Bites:\nFreedoms Series: Freedom of the Press with Briana Erikson\nApril 15th at 12:30 ET\n\nBriana is a reporter for the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker\, where she documents violations and broader threats to press freedom nationwide. She previously worked as an investigative reporter at the Las Vegas Review-Journal\, covering everything from the 2017 mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip to legal battles over press freedom. Her work centers on human rights\, police misconduct\, and misuse of public funds. DESCRIPTION:Get ready to read\, learn\, and stand up! Calling all our fledgling scholars to join us for Storytime Saturdays! This program runs on the third Saturday of every month at 10:30 AM.  \nPreschool aged learners are invited to join Gunston Hall Educators for a themed storytime. Our crafts and activities will help our young citizens gain essential skills including preschool readiness\, gross- and fine-motor refinement\, self-expression and more!  \nEach monthly session will explore a different a theme that will help our fledgling scholars learn citizenship skills and about being part of a group. The program features a storytime\, followed by a craft to bring home\, related learning game or activity\, and an abbreviated tour of the mansion or grounds that focuses in on the theme of the day.
