DESCRIPTION:Calling all little adventurers! \nStrap on your explorer boots and join us for Nature Thursdays! This program runs on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM. \nYour preschool-aged ecologists will join Gunston Educators for a themed storytime and a nature hike to traverse the woods and waterways on the Grounds of Gunston Hall. Exploratory activities will help preschoolers gain essential skills including preschool readiness\, respect for our environment\, gross- and fine-motor refinement\, self-expression and more! \nEach monthly session will explore a different theme related to exploring the natural world around us. The program features a storytime\, followed by a guided nature hike and a related learning activity.  \nThis program runs rain or shine\, so please practice outdoor preparedness and dress for the weather! \nTickets\nAdult: $10\nSenior: $8\nChildren 6-18:  $5\nChildren 5 and under Complimentary \nAdvance registration is preferred.

This Summer Saturdays program explores how people have used fiber arts and crafts to make their voices heard—from the homespun movement of the Revolution to women’s suffrage protests and coded messaging during the World Wars. Join us and our community partners to discover how people have “crafted” their voices over the past 250 years. Try wool spinning\, knit or weave your own “codes\,” create a button for a cause you care about\, and take home a pattern to continue crafting your voice. Enjoy music and snacks while you create!
