SUMMARY:We the Tots Storytime - September Courage
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to read\, learn\, and stand up! \nCalling all our fledgling scholars to join us for We the Tots Storytime! This program runs on the third Tuesday  of every month at 10:30 AM.\n\nPreschool aged learners are invited to join Gunston Hall Educators for a themed storytime. Our crafts and activities will help our young citizens gain essential skills including preschool readiness\, gross- and fine-motor refinement\, self-expression and more!\n\nEach monthly session will explore a different a theme that will help our fledgling scholars learn citizenship skills and about being part of a group. The program features a storytime\, followed by a craft to bring home\, related learning game or activity\, and an abbreviated tour of the mansion or grounds that focuses in on the theme of the day. SUMMARY:Special Naturalization Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Gunston Hall is proud to host a naturalization ceremony on the lawn of George Mason’s historic mansion\, welcoming up to 50 of America’s newest citizens. Candidates for citizenship take the final step on a years-long journey during Gunston Hall’s semi-annual naturalization ceremony.  George Mason helped found the United States of America and paved the way for others to become citizens. \nWe are delighted to be joined by Virginia Delegate Rozia Henson\, Jr.\, who will serve as the ceremony’s keynote speaker and help welcome the candidates and their families. \nThe ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and is free and open to the public. A small reception will follow\, with special tours offered at noon and 12:30 p.m. Regular tours and admission will resume at 1 p.m. \nTours of the Mansion are not available until noon on the ceremony day.  Admission is complimentary until 1 p.m.
