Gunston Hall is proud to host a naturalization ceremony on the lawn of George Mason’s historic mansion, welcoming up to 50 of America’s newest citizens. Candidates for citizenship take the final step on a years-long journey during Gunston Hall’s semi-annual naturalization ceremony. George Mason helped found the United States of America and paved the way for others to become citizens.
We are delighted to be joined by Virginia Delegate Rozia Henson, Jr., who will serve as the ceremony’s keynote speaker and help welcome the candidates and their families.
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and is free and open to the public. A small reception will follow, with special tours offered at noon and 12:30 p.m. Regular tours and admission will resume at 1 p.m.
Tours of the Mansion are not available until noon on the ceremony day. Admission is complimentary until 1 p.m.
