Each all-day program features a civics-focused theme that connects history to today—exploring George Mason’s ideas and what it means to be American during this semi-quincentennial year.

Saturday, July 11: Party for the Revolution
It’s a party—it’s a Revolution! Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution at this special Summer Saturdays event at Gunston Hall. Enjoy a full day of crafts, games, music, and more. Connect with community partners to learn about Virginia during the Revolution, make your own tricorn hat and cockade, play 18th-century games, and enjoy sweet treats in honor of this historic anniversary.
