Thomson was born at Chopawamsic Plantation, Stafford Co., Va., on 14 August 1733. He married Mary King Barnes in 1758. He married Elizabeth Westwood on 23 November 1777.¹ Thomson died on 26 February 1785 at Chopawamsic Plantation, Stafford Co., Va., at age 51.
